When we compare ourselves and our lives to others, especially when other's images/representation have been manipulated on Social Media, it can make us feel sad. Feel like "less than".
We only see the sides of people and their lives that they want us to see.
Take a look today at how you are comparing yourself or your life with others and make a change.
We are enough.

Make a list of 3 things you need to do FOR YOURSELF and schedule them into your schedule.
So often I hear - "I don't have time". Truth is you can find the time if you really want to.
So this week...really want to! Build your schedule to allow for the time you need to take care of yourself.
Perhaps coffee with a friend, a workout at the gym and a long phone call to someone you love. Make the time today in your calendar for these things to happen and they will.
Remember - you control your downtime. Make better use of it!

Hey wellness warriors...another week has passed and we have another weekend to enjoy.
Soulful Saturday allows us to think about what sparks joy in our soul.
Music has always done it for me!
Today's health tip for you is to consider your answer to this question "What is your anthem or theme song"
It might be the song that pumps you up. Or one that mellows you out. It might be currently on the radio or an oldie. It might be rock or pop or country. It might change with the seasons or it's been "your song" since the beginning of time.
I've always been able to revisit period of my life simply by listening to music.
There was the song my crew played on our way to races during our undefeated season and winning of the National Championships. (M.C. Hammer: U Can't Touch This) Everytime I hear it I can go back in time and feel that high of winning.
10,000 Maniacs takes me back to grad school and any song by The Cranberries, well, that was my 20's.
September by Earth, Wind and Fire is my song with my husband and we always dance to it at parties and weddings.
But my anthem.....hmmm.

Sweet Potatoes...might not be "new" to you but perhaps this preparation is new.
You can slice them into slabs and use them as you would toast. Think gluten-free avocado toast! Simply cut into slabs and brush both sides with a healthy oil and bake, flipping once or twice. Try with tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella for a high-fiber pizza alternative!

The other day my trainer at Orange Theory Fitness said, in the middle of a tough shoulder day, that we all want our arms to look toned. She said a toned arm starts at the shoulder...her gorgeous arms do not lie.
So, today, grab some weights (or milk jugs filled with water or sand, or soup cans...you get the point) and get lifting.
3 sets or 6-8 repetitions for exercise of the 3 following exercises:
