However, we make promises to ourselves ALL the time and then break them. Recognize that that hurts as well.
Consider making promises that are realistic realizing that once kept we can add to these goals and promises.
It all goes back to the way we talk to and treat ourselves...always with consideration and kindness.

Trying to live a lower carb lifestyle? One easy way to make a change is to use butter lettuce leaves in place of bread or a bun when eating a sandwich or burger.
If you have ever tried chicken lettuce wraps (lots of recipes online) you know how easy this substitution really is. I love the butter lettuce leaf because it has great texture and easily folds around food. Plus, the leaves are generally pretty large.
Note: if you eat at a fast food restaurant you can always ask for a burger with no bun and extra lettuce. At In&Out Burger it's a real thing called "Protein Style."

Today for a quick wellness hit - check out your toothbrush. Is it time for an upgrade or a change? I love my electric toothbrush because my teeth feel super clean after using it as compared to a regular manual toothbrush. Make sure yours has a soft head and the bristles are in good shape. Wonky bristles means its time for a new one.

It's foodie Friday here and today I encourage you to give a green juice a try.
If you have your own juicer its a snap but you can also make it in a blender and strain thru a strainer ot better yet, cheesecloth.
An easy recipe is a handful of kale, a few stalks of celery, a slice of lemon and if you'd like your juice a little sweeter add an apple.
Always organic and best on an empty stomach.

I bought a set of 5 FiT Simplify Resistance Loop Exercise Bands for $8.95 with free shipping on Amazon Prime. Though there are many companies making these and you can check out all the reviews over on Amazon.
I love them for monster walks, squats, triceps though they come with an instruction manual which offers more tips and tricks. And they take up almost no space so they are great for travel.

Tone Up Thursday's reminder that it really comes down to diet.
If you have excess body fat I encourage you to check out Intermittent Fasting. For 16 hours a day you are fasting, nothing but water. You have an 8 hour window to take in calories. For me, eating between the hours of 11 am and 7 pm. Or late breakfast, early dinner and done. Those 16 hours of fasting encourages your body to run on the stored body fat you have.
Another option that can help you shed excess weight is to only eat fruit until noon. Stick with watery fruits such as berries, melons and citrus.
